  Media Studies is the study of what the media is composed of and how it affects the audience. Key concepts of Media Studies: Traditional It is used to describe pre-industrial societies and their interrelationships. Traditional Society It is community based.They usually exists within a specific geographic space and are symbolize by shared traditions, cultures, values and language. Traditional Culture A set of cultural values and ideas that are shared by the community.

SHOT Shot is a lenght if the film exposed in one continuos running of the camera at the time of shooting. The three aspect of shots: - Visual -Audio -Editing (Transitions)   Film shots are an essential aspect of a movie where angles, transitions and  cuts  are used to further express emotion, ideas and movement. Angle In screenwriting, an 'ang le on' refers to  a specific camera angle that captures a scene from a particular viewpoint or perspective. Transitions T ransitions are  how film editors move a scene from one video clip to another . Transitions don't necessarily have to be visual. They can also be conveyed with music or sound effects. MEDIA The media refers to the different channels we use to communicate information in the everyday world. 'Media' is the plural form of medium, and the main media forms are Print, Radio, Film, Television, Internet. Role of media: I ts duty is to  inform,  educate and  entertain people.  It is needless to say, that media has a strong social and cultural impact upon the society, thus it should operate within the society and for the society and reflect the positive image of the society.

SOAP  OPERA  A soap opera is  a serialized form of storytelling that allows for long and dense narratives to unfold over generations in real time , originally starting on radio and later moving to television, often focusing on domestic realism, family values, and professional settings like hospitals and courtrooms. The Script structure of Soap Operas The plot of a Soap opera  has a few parallel tracks or sub-plots in the storyline which run simultaneously with the main story, providing possibility of a bigger expanse and larger number of characters. Significant features of soap opera In Daily soap the narrative is closely followed on a day to day basis, but in a weekly soap, there is relatively more scope to try out other alternatives.

  GREEN SKILLS Green skills are the knowledge, abilities, values and attitudes needed to live in, develop and support a sustainable and resource-efficient society. THEATRE               Theatre is Live communication and actors, empty space and audience are the three most essential factors necessary for a performance of a play.  The term theatre comes from a Greek word meaning "action".              As a form of communication and as an interpersonal medium of the moment,  theatre  brings about intellectual challenges for its viewers, turning them into a public that interpret the performance based on their own social and individual experiences. HISTORY OF THEATRE           The history of theatre spans over 2,500 - 2,600 years. It began in ancient Greece and was adapted in Roman times, revived in medieval liturgical dramas, and flourished during the Renaissance and 17th-18th centuries.

RADIO   Radio is sound communication by radio waves, usually through the transmission of music, news, and other types of programs from single broadcast stations to multitudes of induvidual listenters equipped with radio receivers. Radio drama is a story told through sound alone. The sound of course that of dialogue and voices of people, background or mood effects, musical effects, atmospheric effects and the like.
